We take our customer's privacy very seriously at Buddy's Home Bakery.

Our website is purely an information, reference site offering photos of our cakes, information about us and instructions on how to place an order together with our contact details.

We do not deal with any payments via our website thus we do not contain any card or payment details in relation to our customers.  Payments are made either by cash on collection or bank transfer.

CONTACT

If a customer e-mails us via our 'Contact Form' on the site we will be informed of this via our Website Management System as an e-mail will automatically be sent to our business e-mail address, [email protected] alerting us that contact has been made.  After 30 days these messages will be deleted automatically from our website but will remain in our Outlook account where we will make contact with the customer accordingly.  

The servers the Buddy's Home Bakery website runs from are rigorously checked and are constantly monitored with high level security systems installed thus ensuring the highest level of security possible for users of the site.

Any information we obtain from a customer in relation to a cake order will be held by us solely for the purpose of contacting the customer to discuss their order and collection.  We will never forward a customer's personal details to a 3rd party.   

We will not sell, distribute or disclose information about a customer as an individual or their personal usage of the Site without consent or unless required or permitted to do so by law.

 

All personal details will only be held by Buddy's in order for us to contact customers in relation to their order.   Once the order has been finalised, the cake collected and any follow up contact has taken place all details will be deleted.  We may contact cusomers to discuss them writing a review or to ask consent for us to share their photo.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Most of our contact and interaction with our customers is carried out via our social media platforms ie Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.  Any private messages we receive from you will be retained on whichever social media platform you use and not forwarded on to a 3rd party.

We share all photos of the cakes we make on our social media but do not give any names as to who the cake was made for, unless a cake was made for a specific organisation or charity and this is detailed in the photo.  We will ensure the customer's permission is obtained before the cake photo is displayed.   If someone writes a comment on a photo and gives an indication as to who the cake was made for this is beyond Buddy's control and we will assume the customer has given their consent for this information to be made public.

Buddy's ensure that any photos of cakes are displayed after a party or event has occurred so as not to potentially reveal a photo to the recipient or persons in attendance.

If a customer shares or displays a photo of one of our cakes taken on a public platform at a private or public event we will ask the customer's consent to display the photo on one of our social media pages.   Similarly if a customer sends us a photo of a cake they have taken we will always ask permission to display on our social media.

Please note our social media pages are public which means that anyone who accesses the pages can view all of our photos and any comments made by its users.
